Seraphina by Rachel Hartman

The kingdom of Goredd is inhabited by two primary creatures. Humans and dragons. Seraphina Dombegh is a young woman who has managed to get herself in between this ancient and recently healed division. Soon Prince Rufus is murdered and many people throughout the kingdom have a suspicion that the dragons murdered him. Seraphina must work hard to keep her own secret, protect the people around her, solve a mystery, and try to keep the castles events on track for she is the assistant music mistress. While she tries to balance all of that, something new comes into her life. Something that reminds her that she is truly not alone. Can she do it or will there be more deaths of important figures in the future? Overall Seraphina is a great tale that weaves an incredible world full of descriptive characters that you feel you know by the end of the book. Because of scary and romantic parts of the book I would recommend it to people over the age of eleven. If you are a fan of fantasy and adventure this is the book for you.
